Building tiny sculptures with electronic scrap pieces.
One of the sad truths of electronics manufacturing, or any manufacturing for that matter, is that there is always waste involved. Whether it's the lone header pins that get lost in a flurry of snipping or the tiny parts lost to the vast expanses of the floor, perfectly good parts become scrap no matter how efficient your production processes may be. In an attempt to use as much scrap as possible myself and several other employees at SparkFun have taken making art with the scrap pieces. All that's needed is some skill with a soldering iron and a creative imagination.
