3D Printed Plumbus

As a gift for a few friends, I decided to make some 3D printed Plumbuses (Plumbi?) fomr the popular Rick and Morty tv show. I printed the plumbus using these files from thingiverse user kwaaaa. To make the print look more finished, I put the pieces in a container with a paper towel soaked with acetone. This gave each piece a nice smooth finish.

The two halves were fused using epoxy. Then a layer of primer was added before the final paint job.

Using acrylic paint, the plumbus was given a realistic-looking final coat. A stand was also printed to hold the final product.
